Communication Center

For the 2010-2011 year there will be a change in how you pay your membership. It will include your required 12 races to be eligible for the 2011 Finals Awards. So for one membership it will be $64 and each additional membership will be $49. You will not be paying the $2 at each race like in the past. I will not be keeping points for anything this year. The 2010-2011 will be a Sudden Death Finals again ( meaning all the awards will be won over the Finals week-end ). If the membership numbers are there to support this, there will be 5 saddles given to NW5D members in each of the 3 races at the 2011 Finals ( for a total of 15 saddles ), and also average awards ( undetermined at this time ). I hope if I give saddles in each of the three races it will encourage membership, especially for those who don't feel they may be able to win an average award--but will be given the opportunity to win a nice day award. For those of you who have already joined by June 20th, I would ask that you pay your $24 ( $2 x 12 required races) directly to the NW5D office, (minus any money you have already paid to the race secretary). Anyone who joins after June 20, 2010 will be required to join at the $64 fee. I just don't have the energy or time it takes to tackle points anymore, and that is why I am implementing this format. Membership is what pays for any associations' awards. So I hope those who have enjoyed what the Northwest 5D has given to the barrel racers will again join and encourage others to join also. Rosanne
